The only goal for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is to make sure your website receives the highest search engine ranking possible for the key words and phrases that are most relevant to your website. In other words, when people are looking for something that you can deliver, we make sure you show up at the top of the list.
So, why do you want a high organic search results listing?
• First, because organic links results are free when they are clicked. Sponsored links cost you
money (paid to the Search Engine) every time someone clicks on them. WebSurfPro can
certainly construct a solid AdWords campaign if desired.
• 75% of Google users ONLY click on organic search results.
• The higher you are in the organic listings, the more likely you are to get customer traffic. If you
are at the bottom of the results page, or if you are not located on the first results page at all, the
likelihood of being noticed decreases dramatically.
Notes on Google:
Since Google is the defacto Big Brother of the Internet Search engines, a few words about how it ranks
web pages (its PageRank system) are necessary before we dive into SEO basics.
“Google PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its
vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value.
In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for
page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page
receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are
themselves important weigh more heavily and help to make other pages important.”
- Source Google
Google PageRank (PR) can be roughly divided into these broad categories:
PR = 0-3: New sites or sites with very minimal external links
PR = 4-5: Popular sites with a fair amount of inbound links
PR = 6: Very popular sites that have hundreds of quality links
PR = 7-10: Usually media brands (NYTimes.com, Google), big companies.
It’s important to note that Google PageRank is believed to be calculated on a logarithmic scale. What this
means is that the climb from a PR4 to a PR5 is approximately 10 times more difficult than the climb from a
PR3 to a PR4. It also means that if you can get to a PageRank of 6 or so, you’re likely well into the top
0.1% of all websites on the Internet. If most of your competition is hanging around the PR2 or PR3 level,
you’re way ahead of the game just by getting to a PR4.
SEO consists of both on-page and off-page efforts and each area can be critical to the overall success of
an SEO effort.
Some Important On-Page SEO Components:
The following items should be examined carefully as part of any SEO effort. These are web page
attributes that you can modify which will assist in increasing your search engine ranking. Additionally,
understanding how you want to be found (i.e. how a prospect searches) is essential and will be required
information as you go through this process.
• Page title (meta data…seen in the top bar of any browser) which should be descriptive of the
product or service being offered.
• A URL for each page using real English text (as opposed to numbers or gibberish text).
• Proper use of H1, H2, and H3 headers (headlines for your important information on each page of
your site).
• Proper use of bold text to identify important information to search engines.
• Only use 5-7 key words (more meta data) per page. More will not help. Keep things focused.
• Use of descriptive anchor text for hyper links. Anchor text is deemed important by search
engines.
• Use of alt-text in any images. Unless you label your images, web crawlers will not look at them.
• Longevity of domain registration…the longer the better.
• W3C compliance for the site…makes sure it Google friendly.
• Use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Regular content refresh. Changing content regularly is an excellent way to improve your search
rankings. If your content does not change, search engines will loose interest in your site and
crawl it with less and less frequency, ultimately lowering your rankings.
Here is a sample of our SEO work for http://www.momszone.org. This is a website devoted to support information for single moms and stay-at-home moms in the Arizona region. They are now at the #1 Google search position for the phrase "single mom resources phoenix" which is relevant to their business. This is out of approximately 95,600 websites that also have relevance to this term. On this project, we also achieved #1 Google rankings on eight other search terms that are related to this site.

Our SEO Process
Step 1 - Web Site Analysis
In this we will review your website and send report on your current site and required changes to make it more search engine friendly.
Web site analysis will include:
- Check for broken links
- Use of title and Meta Tags and suggest improvements
- The structure of the code and content of you website will be analyzed. Any problem areas such JavaScript and badly written code will be identified and accompanied with recommendations of how to rectify them.
Step 2 - Keyword Research
Selecting the right keywords can make or break the success of your visibility and is integral to the optimization of your Web site. The appropriate keywords will increase targeted traffic to your Web site, thus enhancing your bottom line profits. We take the guesswork out of selecting the right keywords and research how many times those keywords have been used on search engines using keyword selection tools like overture and wordtracker. In this process we will also take inputs from you.
Step 3 - Search Engine Optimization
After approval of final keywords from you, we start with the actual implementation of SEO techniques. We will optimize Meta tags, titles, alt tags, with each keyword in mind. Each Page of the website will be optimized with different title, meta tags keeping in mind the content on that particular page.
Once website is optimized, we will generate a pre-position ranking report in search engines. This Ranking Report would help us determine the current position of the site and will be useful in checking the progress in ranking with time.
Step 4 - Search Engine Submissions
After thoroughly optimizing the site, we do submission to various Search Engines including Google, MSN, Yahoo and also to directories. Submission report will be sent showing the search engines to which we have submitted the site.
Step 5 - Final Report
Once the optimized site is submitted to various Search Engines and Directories, we wait for specified period (15 days) in which site will be spidered so that the optimization can be reflected in the keyword rankings. We generate Search Engine Ranking report in major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. The final report will show the ranking of site for the chosen keywords.
Link Popularity
We will carry out link popularity service on your behalf to increase the link popularity of your site. This we do by extracting links from major search engines. We will send invitations to link partners to participate in the link popularity campaign. This will help in increasing your link popularity from time to time.
The leading search engines consider inbound links from other sites to a website to be a very important factor when determining the importance of your website. The more relevant and qualified links you have pointing to a site, the more likely you are to rank higher than a similar website targeting similar keywords with less links pointing to it.
Non-Reciprocal Link Building
We will submit your site in the web-directories related to your business that provide a reciprocal link without asking for a link in return.
